African Projects
We currently support one project in Africa - the Kirserian Children's Home. This is based in Nairobi, Kenya.Kiserian Children's Home
LIM has been helping to support the Kiserian Children’s Home in Nairobi since 2001. Almost all of those who came to us when we started this orphanage work have now moved on into adult life having settled into employment. Others have even started small businesses and are doing really well.
The home currently has over 140 children (boys and girls). These children are either orphans or street children. Every child is cared for and receives an education.
Each Christmas we try to send out extra money for them to get a practical gift such as shoes or clothes, etc. The recession is making it difficult but we do want to encourage these lovely youngsters and so hope to continue this.
